  Hi everyone! Having a look at the blogs my coursemates have created, I think that I have implemented most of the apps they have used.  Therefore, after reading Silvia Ramirez’s blog, I have decided to implement Canva, as I thought I could improve my knowledge about this tool. As you could read in a previous post, my last project with a group of 3rd Compulsory Secondary Education is to create a Trip Itinerary in which they provide a really appealing option for their last year trip.  On that purpose, I asked them to create the itinerary using Canva, in which they had to include a:  destination day a day itinerary transport meals budget activities recommendations in terms of: culture, payment methods and things to pack. SPEAKING PROJECT SAMPLE

  Hi everyone! In this post I will introduce a project that I have put into practice with a group of 4th Compulsory Secondary Education.  Final Product 1: Create a padlet with reports about an Environmental Issue or a Natural Disaster that takes or has taken place in any part of the world.  Final Product 2: Present the Environmental Issue or Natural Disaster to the rest of the class.  The aim was to apply environmental vocabulary, and use conditionals to create hypotheses related to the topic (possible, impossible, real facts, etc) to report an environmental issue or natural disaster. SEQUENCE Motivation I introduced students to the topic with a video, and speaking questions about the topic, to activate their CRITICAL THINKING, and the vocabulary related to this topic. My Experience with Pixton

Hi everyone! In this post I will talk about my experience with Pixton, in a project that I have developed with a group of 13 students from 3rd Compulsory Secondary Education In fact, we have used Pixton as part of project in which students had to develop their critical thinking by introducing us to their REAL-LIFE SUPERHERO.   FINAL PRODUCT : Create an audio-comic about their Real-life superhero by using Pixton and comparing him/her to comic superheroes. Here, you will find the online book that was created to put together all the students STUDENTS ORGANISATION Students were organised in groups of 3/4, trying groups with difficulties with others which show a good competence in English language. Listening through EDPUZZLE

 Hi everyone! In this post I will show you how I have used Edpuzzle to edit an authentic video and use it with a group of 3rd of Compulsory Secondary Education.  The topic that we were working in class is: LAST YEAR TRIP,  so that, at the end of the project, the student had create a TRAVEL PLAN suggestion for their last year at school trip.  WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS VIDEO? On that purpose, before the listening, in class, we were working on modal verbs, so, the aim of this listening was not only developing their oral comprehension competence, but also to practice on the use of modal verbs. A Look at the past

 Hi everyone! In this post I will show you how I have put into practice the website Timetoast in an English lesson for 2nd Compulsory Secondary Education level.  The aim of the task was to Create a Timeline about the developmen of society in terms of education, jobs and technology throughout the history. On that purpose, along the unit we had been working on Past Simple and There was/There were, and we had seen vocabulary and readings related to work, school and homes now and in the past.  That is why they had to choose a decade in between the 1920s and the 2000s and, in groups of 3/4, they had to research on the characteristics related to the aspect above mentioned. First, searched for ideas on the internet, and they the down in a DRAFT. Afterwards, they had to use the information to create a CANVA. And finally, when every CANVA was created, I shared the timeline with them, and they uploaded their Canva in the given period of time within the timeline.  ADVANTAGES OF USING TIMETOAST

My reading habits

  https://cdn.pixabay.com/photo/2016/08/03/20/10/reading-1567669_1280.jpg As I have a look at the pictures, and see people’s faces, I could guess they are reading something that is as exciting for them, that makes them, at times, get away from the real world. Reading may help their minds fly away from their reality, or travel to places where they would never be able to be, or imagine themselves experiencing something that they might not live in their entire life. In fact, there are images in which the person is reading in a place where the background seems not to interfere in their activity. The image number two in which we could see a woman reading with a young girl reminds me of my youth, when my mum was teaching me to read in L1 during summer, as my real teacher had not devoted time to that during the school lesson. I remember that spending time with my mum was my best moment of the day, as I was the second out of three girls, and at that time, she could not spend so much time with
